How do I get a quotation?

Simply contact us by email, phone or fax giving all the relevant details. We will email / post you a competitive quotation including all tolls, parking and any additional costs.

How do I hire a coach?

Simply contact us by email, phone or fax giving all the relevant details and we will be delighted to confirm.

Do I need to pay a deposit?

A Euro 100 non refundable booking deposit is required by all non-account clients to make a booking.

When do I pay for the coach hire?

Final payment for your coach hire is due in full no later than 7 days prior to your hire date.

Are Credit Cards accepted?

Yes, we accept VISA and MASTERCARD

Does the cost of hire include a driver?

Yes, the cost of all our vehicles includes the driver.

Are there any other fees?

Depending on your route and duration of hire, there may be additional parking, road tolls, driverís accommodation and meals. These additional fees will be advised when you supply your itinerary.

Is there VAT (Tax) on coach hire in Ireland?

No. At present coach hire in Ireland is not subject to VAT.

What happens if I need to cancel a coach hire reservation?

Excluding your booking deposit, all monies are fully refundable if your coach hire is cancelled at least 48 hours prior to your arrival date. If you cancel your coach hire within the 48 hours prior to arrival, you will be charged the first dayís coach hire rate.

Are there seat belts on the coach?

Yes, all our coaches are supplied with seat belts.

Do the coaches have Toilets onboard?

If you require a toilet onboard, please mention this at the time of booking as only some of our coaches have a toilet on board.

Do the coaches have Video/DVD?

All our coaches have DVDís onboard.

Do any of the coaches have Wi-fi (internet connection)?

Yes, around half of our fleet are fitted with Wi-fi units, which enables laptop internet connect.

What is the fare?

Tickets are priced differently per route and distance traveled. Please call or email for exact price.

What currencies do you accept?

We accept Euro & Sterling notes.

How long is the journey?

All routes are different, the journey time on our most popular route between Letterkenny and Dublin is approximately 3hrs and 30minutes but this depends on traffic and weather conditions. See timetable for a more detailed timetable.

Can I bring a bicycle or other large luggage (golf clubs etc) on board the coach?

We value our customers and will do our best to accommodate you. Space permitting we will be happy to transport these items. Please email us to find out the quieter services in order to avoid disappointment.

Where do I purchase a ticket?

On the coach.

How long is the return ticket valid for?

One Month

What is the fare for children?

Discounted child fares are available on all our routes. On the Dublin route children under the age of 4 continue to travel free provided they are accompanied by a fare-paying adult. Children below 14 are charged Ä8 less than the normal adult fares.

Do you have family tickets?

Yes we do, please call or email us for more details.

How do you collect lost property?

Please call our office and we will do our best to locate your property. Any lost property will be stored at our offices in Donegal for a maximum of 1 month and may be collected from here by prior arrangement. Alternatively, we may be able to forward the item on to you however you will be required to cover the cost of posting and packing.

Is it possible to book a coach for a group of people or get a group discount for a large amount of passengers travelling on the service?

Yes. If we have a coach available we would be happy to give you a quote for private hire. Groups of 10 who pre book their tickets receive 10% discount.

I am an old age pensioner (OAP) do you accept the Free Travel Pass?

Yes we do, bring your pass and a valid picture I.D.

Will the coach stop at a specific location (end of road etc)?

Our drivers will be happy to drop you off anywhere that is convenient for you and safe to stop the coach.

Where is the coach stop/pick up at Dublin airport?

The John Mc Ginley Coach uses the Coach Park at Dublin airport. Going out of arrivals walk through the short term car park opposite the terminal building, the Coach Park is approximately 100m from the atrium cross the pedestrian crossing and the coach park is on the left. For your convenience, we recommend you acquaint yourself with the Dublin Airport Map. click here

Does your coach pass any of the Dublin hospitals?

Yes, we go quite near to Beaumont, the Matter and Temple street hospitals. Our main drop off point is in O'Connell street near the Luas line which goes directly to St James Hospital.

Where does your coach drop off in Dublin City?

At Cassidyís hotel, OíConnell street (opposite the Ambassador theatre)

Do I need to book in advance?

No, you donít need to book in advance. Smply turn up and pay the bus driver. We would advise groups of 10 or more to contact us in advance
